Justin Glen Wells pled guilty to Assault with Intent to Inflict Serious Injury.
Wells was sentenced to 2 years in prison.
John W. McClintic pled guilty to Domestic Abuse Assault. McClintic received a deferred
judgment and was assessed a $65.00 civil penalty. McClintic was placed on probation
for 1 year, required to participate in the 24 week Batterer's Education Program,
and abide by a 5 year No-Contact Order.
Ryan Dean Morgan pled guilty to Domestic Abuse Assault Enhanced and Harassment 1st
Degree. Morgan was ordered to serve 80 days in jail and then placed on probation
for 2 years. Morgan was required to participate in the 36 week Batterer's Education
Program and follow through and complete treatment as recommended by Iowa Residential
Treatment Center.
Joe Anthony Payton pled guilty to Assault Causing Bodily Injury. Payton received
a deferred judgment and was assessed a $315.00 civil penalty. Payton was placed
on probation for 1 year and required to complete the Assaultive Behavior Class and
abide by a 5 year No-Contact Order.
Bert Cecil Lafferty, III pled guilty to Domestic Abuse Assault Enhanced and Child
Endangerment. Lafferty was sentenced to 10 days in jail and then placed on probation
for 2 years. Lafferty was required to participate in the 36 week Batterer's Education
Program and the Restorative Parenting Program.
Karolperka Franchelle Wilson was found guilty of Domestic Abuse Assault Causing
Bodily Injury and Criminal Mischief 5th Degree. Wilson received a deferred judgment
and was assessed a $380.00 civil penalty. Wilson was placed on probation for 1 year
and required to participate in the Women’s Batterer’s Education Program and be evaluated
for the Restorative Parenting Program.
Robert Allen Reese stipulated that he violated the terms of his probation. Reese
was found in contempt and ordered to serve 30 days in jail. Reese’s probation was
extended until February 28, 2011, and he was required to continue with the original
terms of his probation. Reese was further ordered to obtain a substance abuse evaluation
and remain in jail until a bed was available at Fort Des Moines.
Christopher Markus Brown stipulated that he violated the terms of his probation.
Brown was found in contempt and ordered to serve 1 day in jail and then continue
with the original terms of his probation.
