BACTERIAL VAGINOSIS |

This is also known as Nonspecific Vaginitis, Bacterial Vaginosis, etc. It is caused by a combination of bacteria known as Gardnerella Vaginalis and Mobiluncus Curtisii.

How You Catch It:
- Sometimes by sexual intercourse.
|
When Symptoms Show:

Signs of Infection:
- A woman can have a fishy-smelling heavy discharge from her vagina.
Her vagina and urine opening can itch or burn or hurt. Men can have burning or pain when they
urinate.
|
Problems:
- No serious problems in most people. Pregnant women may go into early labor.
|
Tests:
- The discharge from a woman’s vagina or a man’s penis can be checked under a microscope.
|
Treatment:

Other:
- If you keep getting infected, your sex partner should be tested and treated.
