The Department of Human Resources provides personnel management services
to the departments of County government and the offices of elected officials, including employment, recruitment and screening, organization and employee development, and administration of employee benefits. The office represents the Board of Supervisors in labor contract negotiations, arbitration, grievance resolutions and day-to-day contract administration.

Polk County Human Resources Department’s core mission is to develop the County’s workforce through:
