The Planning Division administers and enforces the Polk County Comprehensive Plan, Zoning Ordinance,
Zoning Map, and Subdivision Ordinance for unincorporated Polk County. The documents regulate the physical development of the unincorporated area of the county. In addition, the division administers the floodplain development regulations, noise ordinance, 911 address assignment and verification.
