The Patrol Division manages the issuance of Weapons Permits and Criminal History Checks at Patrol Headquarters. In an effort to improve customer service, the Sheriff’s Office began issuing personalized plastic photo ID cards for individuals issued permits to carry concealed weapons.

How to obtain a permit

A Permit to Carry Weapons requires a fee of $11 (cash only) and a valid picture ID showing your current address, along with a valid Certificate issued/obtained from one of the following:

A Permit to Purchase requires a fee of $11 (cash only) and a valid picture ID showing your current address. The permits are valid for one year from date of issue.
