Rules and Regulations

The Polk County Air Quality Division administers the requirements of the Federal Clean Air Act, Iowa Administrative Code for Air Quality, and the Polk County Board of Health Rules & Regulations – Chapter V (Air Pollution) for Air Quality. Local Regulations can be no less stringent than state law, which can be no less stringent than Federal law. This page provides links to existing Federal State and Local regulations.
