Assessor Web Site is a "Hit"

The Polk County Assessor’s Web site is a hit, as judged by the positive feedback received, and the activity on the site. Since January 2003, the site averages over 160,000 hits per day; when assessment notices are mailed, activity spikes to around 300,000 hits per day.

The increasing use of computers has resulted in the assessors assuming a role as information managers as well as property appraisers. As additional information has become available and more accessible, the demand for the data has increased dramatically.

Users can search databases of property, find maps, forms, information and more, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. When you’ve got questions, chances are they can be answered by visiting the web site.
