Bradley Morgan was sentenced to prison for a period not to exceed 10 years for the crime of Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon in Polk County Criminal Number FECR218756, for a period not to exceed 10 years for the crime of Theft 1st in Polk County Criminal Number FECR211960. and for a period not to exceed 5 years for the crime of Burglary 3rd in Polk County Criminal Number FECR211957. The defendant was prosecuted by the Polk County Attorney’s Office Drug and Gang Bureau.
William Kennedy appeared for sentencing on a charge of Burglary in the Third degree and was granted a deferred judgment.
Brady Greiner appeared for sentencing on a charge of Burglary in the Third degree and was granted a deferred judgment.
Richard Field plead guilty to Burglary in the Third Degree and was sentenced to a term not to exceed five years, which was suspended.
Julie Landry appeared in Polk County District Court for sentencing in Polk County criminal number FE 217576. Landry earlier pleaded guilty to a Grand Jury Indictment charging her with Involuntary Manslaughter and two counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance (methadone). One of the deliveries of methadone was the cause of the death of Jeffrey Glenney. Landry was sentenced to prison and ordered to serve a term of five years on the manslaughter charge and ten years on each of the delivery charges. The court also ordered that she serve a mandatory minimum one-third on each of the delivery charges, but ordered all of the sentences to be served concurrently with each other. Landry was ordered to pay restitution which included $150,000.00 to the victim’s family due to the death. Landry was prosecuted by Assistant Polk County Attorney Joe Weeg and Assistant Polk County Attorney Dan Voogt of the Polk County Attorney’s Office Drug and Gang Bureau.
Jakeb Hall pled guilty to Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver in Polk County Criminal case number FECR216776. The Court deferred judgment and placed Hall on probation for two years. This defendant was prosecuted by the Polk County Attorney's Office Drug and Gang Bureau.
Keith Clayborne III pled guilty to Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver and Delivery of a Controlled Substance in Polk County Criminal case number FECR216410. The Court sentenced Clayborne to ten years of prison, suspended that sentence, and placed the defendant on probation for two years. This defendant was prosecuted by the Polk County Attorney's Office Drug and Gang Bureau.

Over the State’s objection, the Court granted Melvin Snipes a deferred judgment and placed him on probation for a period of 2 years. Katie Norris pled guilty to Obtaining or Attempting to Obtain a Prescription Drug by Fraud, Deceit, Misrepresenation, or Subterfuge in Polk County Criminal Case number FECR217382. Aaron J. Frank pled guilty and was sentenced before the Honorable Judge Robert J. Blink. Frank pled guilty to Count I: Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver-MDMA Ecstasy, in violation of Iowa Code Section 124.401(1)(c)(8), a Class C Felony and Count II: Failure to Possess a Tax Stamp, in violation of Iowa Code Section 453B.3 and 453B.12, a Class D Felony. Frank asked for immediate sentencing and was sent to prison for 10 years on Count I with the mandatory minimum 1/3 and 5 years on Count II. These sentences ran consecutive to each other and consecutive to his parole revocation. Frank was prosecuted by the Drug and Gang Bureau.
Leonel Lopez-Duran plead guilty to and was sentenced for the crime of Delivery of a Controlled Substance, methamphetamine, a Class B felony, in case FECR218719. He was sentenced to a maximum indeterminate term of twenty-five (25) years and will be required to serve a mandatory one-third term of this sentence prior to becoming eligible for parole. He received a one-third reduction of this sentence for the entry of his plea. This defendant was prosecuted by the Polk County Attorney’s Office Drug and Gang Bureau.

Ricardo Sandoval was sentenced in Polk County District Court in criminal number FE 217765. Sandoval earlier pleaded guilty to Delivery of a Controlled Substance (less than five grams of methamphetamine). Sandoval was granted a ten year suspended sentence and placed on probation for two years. Sandoval was also ordered to pay a fine of $1000.00, as well as pay a number of surcharges and costs, provide a DNA sample and his driver’s license was revoked for 180 days. Sandoval was prosecuted by the Polk County Attorney’s Office Drug and Gang Bureau.
