Steven T. Monaco, FECR223418, pled
guilty to Manufacturing a Controlled Substance-marijuana, as alleged in
Count I of the Trial Information, in violation of Iowa Code Section
124.401(1)(d), a Class D Felony. The defendant waived time and notice,
and waived the right to file a motion in arrest of judgment and to have
the use of a pre-sentence report and requested immediate sentencing. The
Court granted him a deferred judgment and probation with the applicable
$750.00 civil penalty. This case was prosecuted by the Polk County
Attorney's Office Drug and Gang Bureau.
Anthony Pinegar completed the In-Jail Treatment Program and was placed back on probation at a half-way house.
Lyna Phaydavong received a deferred judgment and was placed on two years probation for Identity Theft.
Michael Deetjen stipulated to violating his probation and will have a disposition hearing on November 10th, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. in Courtroom 204 of the Polk County Courthouse.
Michael Schroeder plead guilty to Failure to Register as a Sex Offender and Escape and was sentenced to a total of four years in prison.
Anthony Lavia plead guilty and was fined for three counts of Theft in the Fifth Degree.
Jedadhaie Griffin plead guilty and was sentenced to prison for Child Endangerment.

Ronald Winfrey, Jr. was sentenced for the crime of Possession of a Controlled Substance, hydrocodone, Third Offense, a Class D felony, as a habitual offender in case number SRCR219683. He was sentenced to a term of incarceration of fifteen (15) years and will be required to serve a mandatory minimum term of three (3) years. This defendant was prosecuted by the Polk County Attorney’s Office Drug and Gang Bureau.
Debra Jones pled guilty to Conspiracy to Deliver a Controlled Substance
in Polk County Criminal Case number FECR218587. After successfully
completing the In Jail Treatment Program, the Court imposed a ten year
prison sentence, suspended that sentence, and placed the defendant on
probation for two years. This defendant was prosecuted by the Polk
County Attorney's Office Drug and Gang Bureau.
Jacqueline Topp pled guilty to two counts of Obtaining or Attempting to
Obtain a Prescription Drug by Fraud, Deceipt, Misrepresentation, or
Subterfuge in Polk County Criminal Case number FECR219765. The Court
deferred judgment and placed the defendant on probation for a period of
two years. This defendant was prosecuted by the Polk County Attorney's
Office Drug and Gang Bureau.

Deliver-Marijuana, in violation of Iowa Code Section 124.401(1)(d), a
