The Civil Division of the Polk County Attorney's Office consists of a Bureau chief, seven attorneys and four support personnnel. The Civil Division is responsible for representing and advising all County Offices, Departments, Committees and boards. This representation includes providing legal counsel and representing the Department or Office and its employees in the event of a lawsuit or complaint.
The Civil Division does not and cannot represent private citizens in legal matters.
