Danny Hill Jr. FECR233692 was sentenced to probation for committing Lascivious Acts
with a Child. He was ordered to undergo Sex Offender Treatment Program and obtain
a mental health evaluation. The defendant will be required to register with the
Iowa Sex Offender Registry as a convicted sex offender. The defendant was also sentenced
to a Special Sentence committing him into the custody of the Director of the Iowa
Department of Correction for the rest of his life, with eligibility for parole.
The Court ordered that he have No Contact with the victim and all minor children.
The sentencing order specifically finds that this is a “sexually predatory offense....
(and) will be used to enhance any future convictions for any sexually predatory
offense.”
Kevin Grimes appeared in FE223409 and stipulated that he violated the terms and
conditions of his probation by leaving a halfway house where he was ordered to reside.
He was sentenced to prison.
Steven Seelye appeared in FE230924 and stipulated that he violated the terms and
conditions of his probation by being convicted of an offense in Marshall County,
where he was sentenced to prison. The Court imposed the original sentence of five
(5) years imprisonment in this matter.
Dana Johnson appeared in FE227586 and FE227715 and stipulated that he violated the
terms and conditions of his probation. He was sentenced to his original term of
incarceration.
On January 29, 2010, Andrew Hethershaw, FECR232736, pled guilty to Possession of
a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver-marijuana, as alleged in Count I of
the Trial Information, in violation of Iowa Code Sections 124.401(1)(d), a Class
D Felony. On May 18, 2010 he came before the Court for sentencing and received a
5 year suspended sentence and probation with the applicable $750.00 fine. This case
was prosecuted by the Polk County Attorney’s Office Drug and Gang Bureau.
A Polk County jury found David Callison guilty in Polk County Criminal Number FECR230369
of the crime of Possession of a Controlled Substance. The defendant subsequently
stipulated he had two or more prior convictions for controlled substance violations
and two or more prior felony convictions making the defendant a Habitual Offender.
Sentencing was set for a later date. The defendant is being prosecuted by the Polk
County Attorney’s Office Drug and Gang Bureau.
Cedric Williams was found to have violated the conditions of his probation in case
numbers FE222253 and AG228237. He was sentenced to a maximum indeterminate term
of thirty (30) years and two (2) years in prison, concurrent, and must serve a mandatory
one-third term before he becomes eligible for parole. He was on probation for the
crimes of Delivery of a Simulated Controlled Substance, a Class C felony, as a second
or subsequent offender, and Driving While Barred, an aggravated misdemeanor. This
defendant was prosecuted by the Polk County Attorney’s Office Drug and Gang Bureau.
On November 24, 2009, Defendant Charles C. Dyer, entered a plea of guilty to the
charge of: Possession of a Controlled Substance With Intent to Deliver as alleged
in Count I of the Trial Information, in violation of Iowa Code Section(s) 124.401(1)(d),
a Class D Felony. On May 18, 2010, Defendant Charles C. Dyer was sentenced to a
period of incarceration not to exceed 5 years for the charge of: Possession of a
Controlled Substance With Intent to Deliver as alleged in Count I of the Trial Information,
in violation of Iowa Code Section (s) 124.401(1)(d). The sentence was suspended
and the defendant was placed on probation for a period of 5 years. The defendant
shall be supervised by the Fifth Judicial District Department of Correctional Services.
Charles C. Dyer was prosecuted by the Polk County Attorney’s Office Drug and Gang
Bureau.
On January 13, 2010, Defendant Harold L. Dalton, entered a plea of guilty to the
charge of: Possession of a Controlled Substance With Intent to Deliver as alleged
in Count I of the Trial Information, in violation of Iowa Code Section(s) 124.401(1)(d),
a Class D Felony. On May 18, 2010, Defendant Harold L. Dalton was sentenced to a
period of incarceration not to exceed 5 years for the charge of: Possession of a
Controlled Substance With Intent to Deliver as alleged in Count I of the Trial Information,
in violation of Iowa Code Section (s) 124.401(1)(d). The judgment was deferred and
the defendant was placed on probation for a period of 5 years. The defendant shall
be supervised by the Fifth Judicial District Department of Correctional Services.
