Jury Returns Guilty Verdict in Kidnapping Trial
Manfred Little was convicted of Kidnapping in the First Degree and Willful Injury Causing Serious Injury in Polk County District Court on June 11th. Little was accused of holding his wife hostage and torturing her over a four month period of time in 2006. The trial started on May 19th before District Court Judge Robert Hutchison and concluded with the Jury’s verdict four weeks later. A pre-sentence investigation report has been ordered by the Judge, and sentencing will take place at a later date. Little remains in the Polk County Jail pending sentencing. First Degree Kidnapping carries a mandatory sentence of life in prison. This case was prosecuted by Assistant Polk County Attorneys Steve Foritano and Michael Salvner.
