The defendant waived time and notice and requested immediate sentencing. The Court granted her a deferred judgment and probation with the applicable $750.00 civil penalty. Hector Giovanni Linares-Nunez and Marcus A. Jamez appeared in Polk County District Court in criminal numbers FE 221441 and FE 221443 respectively. Both defendants pleaded guilty and were sentenced on one count of Willful Injury Causing Bodily Injury, class D felonies. Another similar charge was dismissed on each defendant. Both defendants were sentenced to five year suspended prison terms and placed on probation for two years. Both were ordered to complete 40 hours of community service and refrain from associating with known or identified gang members and cannot possess anything which evidences any gang affiliation.
