Mark Hurm

Officer Hurm has worked for Polk County Conservation Board since 1990. He graduated from the University of Dubuque with a double major in Environmental Science and Biology. Officer Hurm graduated from the 101st Iowa Law Enforcement Academy class. In his spare time, he enjoys working out in Martial Arts, as well as spending time with his family. Brian Herrstrom

Officer Herrstrom started his career with Polk County Conservation Board at Jester Park in 1977 and moved to Thomas Mitchell Park in 2006. He has an Associate of Arts Degree in Recreation from Des Moines Area Community College. Officer Herrstrom graduated from the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy 82nd Basic in 1983. In his spare time he enjoys woodworking, mechanical restoration and spending time with his family. Officer Herrstrom is married and has two sons. Dean Bruscher

Officer Bruscher has worked for Polk County Conservation Board since 1981. He graduated from Kirkwood Community College with a degree in Parks and Natural Resources in 1981. Officer Bruscher graduated from the 76th Iowa Law Enforcement Academy Class. In his spare time he enjoys fishing, canoeing, hiking, camping and riding motorcycles. Chris Clingan

Officer Clingan has worked for Polk County Conservation Board since 2011. He has graduated from Kirkwood Comunity College and Upper Iowa University with degrees in Parks & Natural Resources and Conservation Management. Officer Clingan graduated from the 215th Iowa Law Enforcement Academy Class. In his spare time he enjoys fishing, hunting, and camping. He can be reached at the following number: (515) 249-0686

Charlie Finch

Officer Finch has worked for Polk County Conservation Board since 2004. He graduated from Upper Iowa University in 2003 with a double major in Conservation and Criminology. Officer Finch graduated from the 202nd Iowa Law Enforcemnt Academy Class. In his spare time he enjoys hunting, fishing, and anything related to the outdoors with his family. James Dotzler

Officer Dotzler has worked for Polk County Conservation since 2006. He graduated from Upper Iowa University in 2004 with a major in Conservation and a minor in Biology. Officer Dotzler graduated from the 209th Iowa Law Enforcement Academy Class. In his spare time he enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, and canoeing.
