Iowa Wildflower Hike

When & Where:

This event occurred in the past.

What:

Join Thomas Rosberg from the Iowa Prairie Network for a hike in and around the marsh to identify its unique flora and fauna. This 81-acre area has been described as a “geological and ecological museum” because of its rare prairie pothole and sedge meadow. A year-long survey at Engeldinger counted 314 species of plants, 19 species of mammals, 15 species of reptiles and amphibians, and 82 species of birds.
