Fort Des Moines Park Shelters

  • Garbage cans are located at both shelters
  • Shelters rent for $50
  • $100 deposit is required when having keg beer
  • No electricity at shelters
  • Can rent shelters from 10:00 a.m. - sunset, one reservation per day
  • Reservations for shelters can be made online at www.mycountyparks.com.
  • Drinking fountain by both shelters

  • Shelter is handicapped accessible
  • 1 - large grill and 1 - 20" grill outside shelter
  • 8 picnic tables
  • Horseshoe pit (bring own horseshoes)
  • Modern restroom - 200 yards away - not handicapped accessible, no walkway to restroom
  • 300 yards to lake
  • Ballfield nearby
  • Parking for 40 cars

  • Shelter is handicapped accessible
  • 1 - large grill and 1 - 20" grill outside shelter
  • 8 picnic tables
  • Horseshoe pit (bring own horseshoes)
  • Sand volleyball court nearby (bring own volleyball)
  • Parking for 50 cars
  • Modern restroom - 200 yards away - handicapped accessible
  • Playground (ADA) close to shelter, also has two grills by playground
