ANNUAL AUCTION NOTIFICATION
Polk County will be holding a public auction on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 10:00 a.m., located at Greenfield’s Auction Site: 3920 Dixon, Des Moines, Iowa.
Items to be auctioned will include miscellaneous items seized by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, as well as equipment and furniture that are no longer of use to the County.

Polk County emails auction notifications approximately 7 days prior to the auction. The notification will contain general information about items to be sold along with the date, time, and location.
Items may include vehicles, equipment, and many miscellaneous items that are no longer of use to the County.

Terms and Conditions
All persons that attend the auction and want to bid must be of lawful age and have a bid number issued by the auction company. To obtain a bid number you must have a picture ID.
Full payment shall be made on sale day.
Terms of Sale: Payment for purchases must be made by cash, cashier’s check, personal or company check with proper identification.
Vehicle titles will be given the day of the auction if payment is made by cash, or suitable certified funds. Otherwise the title will be mailed when your check clears your bank.
No Warranty. Descriptions of sale items appearing in the sale bill or other advertisements of the auction are believed to be correct. Nevertheless, any descriptions, or oral statements made by the owner or auction company concerning auction items shall not be construed as a warranty, either expressed or implied. All auction items are sold as is-where is.
All items must be paid for and removed the day of the auction. Owner and auction are not responsible for unattended items.
Auction items are subject to additions and deletions until auction day.
Announcements on auction day take precedence over printed material.
