Clean Sweep is Back and Coming to Your Neighborhood - July 12-29, 2010
The Polk County Board of Supervisors is pleased to bring Operation Clean Sweep back
to the residents of Polk County. For questions, contact the Clean Sweep information

ACCEPTABLE ITEMS:
- appliances
- mattresses
- carpet rolls
- box springs
- lawn furniture
- air conditioners
- tables and chairs
- couches / loveseats
- gas grills (without propane tank)
- tires (10 maximum per household)
- Normal material generated by a residential household is generally accepted
Note: Appliances and tires should be separated from other
items and may be picked up before the designated day for your area. However, work
crews will be in your neighborhood on the day specified.
ITEMS THAT WILL NOT BE PICKED UP:
- oils
- brush
- paints
- drugs
- poisons
- batteries
- yard waste
- pesticides
- tree limbs
- antifreeze
- railroad ties
- medical waste
- propane gas tanks
- explosive materials
- items containing asphalt
- vehicles / major auto parts
- household hazardous waste
- any other toxic or hazardous substance
