The Iowa Department of Revenue released a new Declaration of Value (DOV) Form on July 23, 2014. This form will be required for all real estate transactions on or before September 1, 2014. To get the new form click on the gray "Forms" tab on the menu above.
The Polk County Recorder's Office contains valuable information concerning your home, family, business and recreation. The Recorder's Office maintains all official real estate documents and provides retrieval and reproduction of these records for the public and businesses.
Julie Haggerty was sworn into office in January 2007. She is a life-long resident of Polk County, attended Dowling High School and Arizona State University. She is a 2008 graduate of the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute.
Since taking office, Haggerty has extended her office hours and established a same-day recording policy. As an elected official, she has been given the opportunity to serve residents of Polk County in many ways.
