ESCAPED INMATE CAPTURED
After an intense investigation with several coordinating agencies, we were able to establish information that led us to the location of Kenny Clyde Bevard this afternoon. Bevard was found hiding at a residence in the 5200 block of Gear Street in Prole, Iowa. With the cooperation of the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, The U.S. Marshall’s Service, The Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Urbandale Police Department, Clive Police Department, The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office, The A.T.F., and The Iowa State Patrol and their Air Plane service, Bevard was captured Friday afternoon shortly after 3:20 p.m.
Bevard had hidden himself under the porch of the residence prior to being taken into custody and refused to comply with officers orders. A K-9 was sent in to help in bringing Bevard out safely. Bevard did sustain minor injuries from resisting the K-9 at that time. Bevard was treated and brought to Polk County Jail.
We would like to thank all of the assisting agencies with their cooperation in capturing Bevard quickly and safely.
Additional charges will be filed on Bevard for the felony escape and possible other charges will be pending.
Along with Kenny Bevard, - Casey Joe Risius- 41 years of age from Des Moines, Iowa- was arrested and charged with aiding and abetting an escapee, along with Two outstanding warrants on drug charges.
