CITSTF OFFICERS TO FOCUS ON TRAFFIC – JANUARY 25, 2012

Additional officers will be watching for motorists who are exceeding the speed limit or are violating other traffic laws during an effort organized by CITSTF, the Central Iowa Traffic Safety Task Force. Agencies across Polk and into Dallas Counties will be seen in larger numbers in a specific area on Wednesday, January 25, 2012, in order to promote and encourage safe driving.
At least one traffic enforcement project is planned each month by CITSTF based on traffic volume and recent statistics. Iowa’s weather can and will change in a matter of minutes, which means road conditions can be unpredictable. Drivers should be aware of and obey traffic laws and properly prepare vehicles for winter driving.
