Polk County's Board of Supervisors statement on tragic shooting at Starts Right Here

Our hearts are with the students, family and staff of the Starts Right Here school. This tragedy is unfathomable, especially in light of the mission of the school to provide important programs and mentorship to at-risk youth in our community. Director Will Keeps has offered so much to our community and Polk County stands ready to assist in any way possible. We will all have work to do to ensure that no more families feel the pain of losing a child to senseless gun violence but in this moment we join them in grieving.
