What is AmeriCorps?
AmeriCorps is a federal agency that connects individuals and organizations to serve communities through national service and volunteering. Members serving in our program serve for a set number of hours that typically range from 9-, 6-, and 3-month long service commitments.
AmeriCorps Benefits
Please Note: Some benefits are contingent on eligibility.
- Segal Education Award ($1,956.35; $3,697.50; $5,176.50)
- Living allowance ($6,000; $10,800; or $14,400)

Open Positions
Environmental Steward Crew Leader (February 17th - November 15th): Gain leadership skills, assist in overseeing crew members, manage invasive species, complete wildfire certifications, seed collection, participate in prescribed fires, and enhance park aesthetics through tree trimming and native garden plantings. Earn environmental certifications for free!
Environmental Steward Crew Member: (March 17th – September 12th): Manage invasive species, complete wildfire certifications, seed collection, participate in prescribed fires, and enhance park aesthetics through tree trimming and native garden plantings. Earn environmental certifications for free!
Naturalist Crew Member (May 19th-August 20th): Bring education to life for underserved populations with hands-on outdoor activities and interactive learning experiences. Teach hiking, fishing, archery, and more.
Youth Corps Crew Leader (May 19th- August 20th): Guide young conservationists in hands-on projects like invasive species removal and native planting.
Equestrian Veteran Programming Representative (March 17th – September 12th): Develop strategies to expand outreach to underserved veteran populations. Collaborate with local organizations and veteran groups. Help expand equine therapy recreation programs to improve mental health and well-being.
Easter Lake Veteran Programming Representative (May 19th – August 20th): Serve at Easter Lake to expand develop strategies to expand outreach to underserved veteran populations. Collaborate with local organizations and veteran groups. Help expand adaptive outdoor recreation programs to improve mental health and well-being.
