Polk County Conservation

VTO Prairie

When & Where:

This event occurred in the past.

What:

Many amazing local companies, organizations, and schools offer Volunteer Time Off (VTO) as an added benefit for their workforce. This provides an excellent opportunity to provide those within their ranks with a unique way to create positive impact within their community. If your organization offers VTO hours, or you find yourself with free time during the week, come spend it outside with PCC in a beautiful county park or trail!

Join us on the Chichaqua prairie as we welcome in the autumn season. As a means to assist in restoration efforts throughout the park, we will be collecting from plants ready to harvest. Come and go between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. per your allotted hours. Registration required. All registered participants will be provided full event details.

REGISTER: RSVP to Melissa at melissa.schmeling@polkcountyiowa.gov.

DEADLINE: October 21

AGES: All ages welcome
