Starved Rock State Park in Illinois is unlike any park you will ever visit in the midwest. We will spend an entire day exploring this amazing park as we hike trails that wind us through 18 towering canyons and lead us to over a dozen breathtaking waterfalls. We will stay two nights in the beautiful 1930’s lodge built by the Civilian Conservation Corp and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Towering pines and century old oaks surround the Lodge and offers visitor all the amenities including, a lounge, café, full restaurant and pool/spa area. A visitor center is located within a short hike of the lodge and offers park history and exhibits.
