Animal Tracks

Squirrel tracks in the snow

One of the best places to “go tracking” can be right in your own backyard. Go out right after it snows or rains. Animal footprints stand out really well in snow and mud. We can learn a lot from animal tracks. What animal was here? What was it doing? Where was it going? Was it running or walking?

  • Beartracker's Animal Track Den - Pictures and drawings of animal tracks. In addition to animal tracks, you will find pictures of the animals themselves and natural history information for each species.
