Backyard Bird Habitat

Birds offer us our best chance of viewing wild animals up close. Providing habitat for birds can be simple, while providing hours of entertainment and a feeling of real fulfillment.

You can become a part of the nation’s second most popular hobby by providing food, water, or shelter for birds where you live. There are hundreds of feeders, birdbaths, and birdhouses on the market today, but making these from recycled objects can accomplish the same thing very inexpensively.

When landscaping, consider plants birds can utilize for food or shelter and you’ll be amazed at what turns up in your yard.

Don’t forget to offer what all living things need, water! This will attract more animals to your yard than anything else, especially in the winter.
