Polk County Conservation

Most plants, reproduce by spreading seeds. Seeds are basically baby plants.

A seed needs good soil, clean water, warmth, and sunshine to grow. If a seed gets all these things, then it might grow into a plant. Even after a plant begins to grow, it is faced with many dangers. Small plants are often eaten by hungry animals, stepped on, or cut off by lawn mowers.
