Celebration of the Land Gallery Walk

Join us for a Gallery Walk of Celebration of the Land, an exhibition highlighting Gary Hoff's work while he was in residence at Whiterock Conservancy. Meet the artist and enjoy light refreshments.

The Whiterock Nature Conservancy is an Iowa treasure. Situated on the Middle Raccoon River near Coon Rapids, the Conservancy comprises more than 5000 acres of river, wetlands, prairie and oak savannah. In it’s two decades of existence the Conservancy has worked to conserve virgin river and bottomland, restore prairies, and educate Iowa and the world.

Gary had the privilege of being an Artist in Residence at Whiterock in 2022 and again in 2023. These paintings, some completed during the residency, others in the studio, show just how varied and special these lands remain. Hoff's purpose with this show is to stimulate fellow Iowans to visit, assist in the missions of Whiterock, and spread the word.

Celebration of the Land: Scenes at Whiterock Conservancy will be on display through April 25 during Nature Center Hours. For additional information, please contact Missy Smith at 323-5317.
