Volunteer Mornings in the Garden: September

Rain gardens, pollinator gardens, and other native plantings across the Polk County park system provide a wide variety of benefits for wildlife, water quality, education, and even social connections.

Join us at Jester Park and dive into the world of native plants to make a positive impact in PCC gardens this growing season. By attending these events you’ll broaden your native plant knowledge as it relates to conservation, maintenance, ecology, and how to start your own native garden at home. This event will have a focus on identification of native species & weeds, seed harvesting, and general information about native gardens, rain gardens, and environmental benefits.
