Women in the Woods with Wine - Prairie Seed Harvest

Did you know Polk County Conservation restores hundreds of acres of prairies, wetlands, and oak savanna habitats each year? At the heart of this conservation work are our native plant communities and the many volunteers and staff who harvest native prairie seed each year. Be ready to explore this habitat from a different perspective as we learn about harvesting native seed and what it really takes to bring back Iowa’s tallgrass prairies and natural heritage.

Women in the Woods with Wine - is for women ages 21+ who are interested in getting outside. Become more comfortable and knowledgeable about the natural world, as you unwind and have fun.
