Prairie Stomp Music Series returns in 2025

In its fourth year, the overwhelming popular Prairie Stomp Music Series is adding a new location and three more shows! Relax to the rhythm of incredible music and nature's own melody in the middle of two beautiful Polk County Parks.

Bring your own food and drinks, blankets, camp chairs, your friends and family, and enjoy a summer evening at Jester Park or Easter Lake Park.

All shows are FREE & open to the public. No tickets or registration required.

Shows at Jester Park

Join us on the back patio of the Jester Park Nature Center for our 2025 Prairie Stomp Summer Music Series beginning on June 26! Each month, through August, a local, Iowa band will kick off the evening with live music. We will have Picket Fence Creamery ice cream on site for purchase.

Bring the kids! Yard games, a streamscape, and sensory garden trail are onsite for engaging outdoor play. 

Shows run from 6 - 8 p.m. Attendees are welcome to stay at the park for recreation and relaxation throughout park hours.

The event will be held rain or shine with a backup location at the Outdoor Recreation & Wellness Center, adjacent to the nature center.

Shows at Easter Lake Park

Sit outside  the Easter Lake Events Center and take in the glorious view of the lake. The 2025 Prairie Stomp Summer Music Series at Easter Lake begins on June 12. This event is family-friendly and fully accessible. Youth will love the playscape and beach. And everyone can dip their toes in the lake via the concrete ADA ramp.
