Sleepy Hollow

Work In-progress
Acquired by Polk County Conservation in September of 2022, staff made the decision to keep the park closed during the 2022/2023 season to perform needed assessments and repairs on the property and equipment. Staff are creating a phased, master plan for the park which will include decisions on remodeling the lodge facility, improving parking/access, and expanding camping operations. Throughout this multi-year process, Polk County Conservation will continue to seek input from the surrounding community and winter-sports enthusiasts.
Coming Soon...
Snowflex, an all-weather turf, will be installed on the tubing hill of Sleepy Hollow over the summer of 2023. This will make Sleepy Hollow home to the largest all-season tubing hill in the world! It also means visitors will be able to enjoy winter recreation in all seasons. From tubing to snowboarding – you will be able to fly down the hill in height of summer heat!
Hours
Sleepy Hollow is currently closed for the 2022/2023 winter season.
I’m really excited for the opportunity this new feature brings to the community,
- Jeff Condon, Leisure Services Manager for Polk County Conservation.
