Crew Leader (19+ Years of Age | Compensation TBD)
Crew Leaders will guide a crew of 8-10 youth, ages 15-18, throughout both sessions. The crew leader will work directly with crew members by encouraging and motivating them to fulfill daily expectations through the completion of assigned tasks, teambuilding activities, environmental education, youth development and outdoor recreation skills such as canoeing, fishing and camping.
Crew Member (15 - 18 Years of Age | $200/Week )
Crew members work hard outdoors on a diversified crew for four weeks in the summer. Crew members will develop strong work habits, environmental ethics, leadership skills and team unity. PCCYC crew leaders and members should expect daily workloads to incorporate moderate to difficult physical labor. The work required is physically demanding, and in a wide variety of settings and weather conditions. Individuals in both positions are expected to uphold the mission and code of conduct of the Polk County Conservation Youth Corps.
