CIVIL Fees Changes coming November 1, 2024
Effective November 1, 2024, due to an increase in postage, there will be a fee change for garnishments processed by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

Update Contact Phone Number For Scams
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office has added an option to our phone tree number to report ANY scams that our citizens in the community may be currently dealing with. We urge the community to call 515-286-3333 and then press 5 to speak with a Communications Specialist.

NEW Polk County Jail Inmate Phone and Video Visitation System
The Polk County Jail has recently transitioned to a new inmate phone system and soon will be transitioning to a new video visitation system. There will be NO video visitation on Monday-Tuesday, August 21st & 22nd 2023. Please click here for more details.
