Pony Rides take place during our recreation season; May through August. We book these 2-3 weeks in advance and can be registered for below.
Pony rides are a great option for families with younger children (ages 2-12) who are looking for a fun activity that gets kids outside and active. All pony rides are taken out on our ‘pony trail’ through a timber, shaded trail. Because they are outside, all pony rides are WEATHER DEPENDENT*.
Pony rides times are limited to 2 children/time slot. Groups that wish to ride at the same time with more than two children should check out our GROUP OUTINGS!
OPTION #1 - “Ride Around the Barn” Pony Ride - $20/child
Great for a fun day trip! 15-minute pony ride on pony trail.
OPTION #2 - “Future Tiny Totter” Pony Ride - $30/child
15-minute pony ride on the pony trail and additional 15 minutes of ‘pony’ lesson time. Kids will get the opportunity to meet their pony on the ground and learn to groom their own pony. This is a GREAT option for 1st time riders! It gives them the opportunity to meet their pony and get over any jitters.
How to Schedule a Pony Ride
Because our pony rides are hand lead by one of our trained staff of volunteers, our availability for them can be limited depending on the time of year. All pony rides REQUIRE a reservation which can be made directly online. This calendar is up-to-date with all of our availabile pony rides. If there are no times/dates listed below, that means we are currently not offering pony rides at this time.
*In the event JPEC must cancel a pony ride due to inclement weather, pony rides can be rescheduled or cancelled with a full refund. If there is indoor arena space available, pony rides can move indoors – but this is not guaranteed.
For children ages 5+ who are ready to move onto to something more than pony rides, check out our Tiny Tot Pony Playdays! And for kids ages 8+ (and adults) who want to dive into the skill of horseback riding and horsemanship, learm more about our Horsemanship Lessons!
