It's Peak Season for West Nile Virus in Central Iowa

This is the peak season for West Nile Virus in Central Iowa. People become infected with West Nile by the bite of an infected mosquito. The best way to protect yourself is to avoid mosquito bites by using mosquito repellent, wearing light-colored and long-sleeved shirts and pants and eliminating standing water around your home.
