Welcoming Week

Painted image of group of four people from diverse backgrounds cooking and eating a meal together

Polk County, in partnership with Des Moines Water Works, will host a free meal and resources fair for Welcoming Week this year. Be sure to join us at the Northwest Community Center on September 14th from 6PM to 8PM for an exciting event!

Share a meal and learn about resources and services available in the community!
Through this event, we hope to foster a sense of belonging and connection among community members, and to promote understanding and respect for all cultures and backgrounds.

Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority (DART) is offering free bus rides to the event for those who scan the QR code below.
