New Viewer for Esearch
In preparation for an upcoming Java update that will disable the current image viewer within our online search, we have updated to a new HTML5 based image viewer that is not dependent on Java. In addition image viewing will now be compatible with other non-Windows based operating systems that support HTML5. We recognize that any change can drive minor changes in your work processes. Because of this, the new image viewer was developed to look and react as closely as possible to the one that is currently in place.
In order to prepare for this change, please review the updated site requirements and help files located at the following link:
Internet Explorer versions 8 and older do not support HTLM5. This will prevent anyone with Windows XP from using Internet Explorer for eSearch. On these stations, we recommend using Google Chrome. You may go to http://www.google.com/chrome to download the latest version of this software.
For anyone using a more recent operating system, the preferred browsers to utilize the new viewer are Internet Explorer 10 or the latest version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.
When using Internet Explorer you must have the latest version of Adobe Reader installed on your computer.
