Board of Supervisor Angela Connolly Receives Habitat for Humanity Key Community Award

Des Moines, Iowa, September 6, 2013 — Second District Polk County Supervisor Angela Connolly received the Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity Key Community Award at an event held on September 5th at Veterans Memorial – Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center in Des Moines.
The Key Awards, presented by the Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity is a recognition event honoring partners and community leaders who have supported Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity and affordable housing in the Des Moines metro. “We are honored to partner with so many organizations and individuals who have worked to create affordable homeownership opportunities in Polk County,” said Executive Director, Lance Henning. “Supervisor Connolly’s support has been instrumental in ensuring affordable housing opportunities exist in Polk County”.
Supervisor Connolly currently serves on the Polk County Housing Trust Fund Board, Polk County Health Services Board of Directors and has been an advocate for affordable housing in Polk County. She serves the citizens of the Second District as a member of the Polk County Board of Supervisors.
