Polk County Internet and Phone Connectivity Issues Resolved
Thursday, January 17, 2013
DES MOINES, Iowa – May 30, 2012 — Internet and phone connectivity issues that impacted Polk County offices yesterday have been resolved. Yesterday morning, a main Century Link fiber-optic cable was cut by a downtown construction crew, disabling external data and phone services to Polk County offices and others downtown.
Crews worked through the night to restore services and all Polk County offerings are back online.
Citizens who had issues attempting to contact or do business with Polk County offices yesterday should know that all services are now available.
