Polk County citizens are reminded to make an appointment for all services provided by the Treasurer's Office. An appointment is required for transferring a vehicle title.
Time is a valuable resource and scheduling an appointment offers an easy and convenient process for customers. Persons with an appointment are given priority over persons who walk in for service. Individuals who walk in for service may experience a lengthy wait.

Select this service for vehicle purchases, in-state transfers, move-ins to Iowa, trailers (regular, homemade, travel), lien releases, and replacement title services. Due to demand for title services appointments, available times may be several days into the future. To save time, the required documents can be placed in the mail or in the drop box. The request will be processed when received and you will be contacted for any additional information.
