Polk County Ambassador Program

 The Polk County Ambassador program is an initiative by the DEIA Committee aimed at fostering a sense of belonging for new county employees. Participation in the program is open to all county employees who are interested in promoting an inclusive and welcoming environment.

As an ambassador, you will have access to a variety of resources, including ongoing training and education opportunities, as well as chances to network with other ambassadors throughout the county.

The program is a great opportunity to contribute to a positive work environment and help build a stronger, more connected community within Polk County.

Here is some information you can pass along to new employees.  Did you already know some of these Polk County facts?

 

  • Polk County has it's own Credit Union located on the first floor of the Administration Building.  You just need $10 to open an account.  The Credit Union provides personal and car loans.
  • Employees can get discounts on Iowa Event Center tickets.  Check out the Polk County Portal for more information.  
  • Need training on Microsoft Office programs? Human Resources can help! Contact humanres@polkcountyiowa.gov for more information.  
  • Benefits eligible employees can get free Retirement Wellness planning through Principal Partners. (Standard Will, Living Will, Tackling Student Loan Debt and more.)
