The 2024 Polk County property tax sale will be conducted June 17, 2024, using an online bidding process. The complete listing of properties will be published in the Altoona Herald on June 5, 2024.
Hours of operation for the Polk County Treasurer’s Office will change to 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. effective June 3, 2024 for all services. Customers are encouraged to make note of this change.
Change to Title Appointments to Take Effect January 1
2023/2024 Property tax statements are now available online and will be delivered to property owners the week of 8/21/2023.
Eligibility requirements have been expanded for the Elderly Property Tax Credit based on household income for those aged 70+.
Starting January 1, 2022, customers conducting a vehicle title transfer between private parties will be required to provide a bill of sale.
