IMPACT Program

In-Home Monitoring Placement and Community Tracking (IMPACT)

IMPACT is an alternative to secure detention that allows youth to remain at home and in the community with the support of a tracking and monitoring system while being processed through the Juvenile Court system. While in the program youth are able to return to or start school, maintain and improve relationships, and obtain necessary and needed services.

This program functions as a part of the Centralized Intake Center located at the Polk County Juvenile Detention Center. After the Juvenile Court Officer refers a potential youth to IMPACT, Intake staff will interview the youth and the parent to determine program eligibility.

The IMPACT program is able to maintain a maximum of 20 youth.  The length of time a youth is on the program varies by youth.  The average length of service is 45-60 days.
