Civil Division
The Civil Division of the Polk County Attorney’s Office consists of a Bureau Chief, eight Assistant County Attorneys and five support personnel. The Civil Division is responsible for providing General Counsel and advising all County Elected and Appointed Officials, Departments, Boards and Committees. This responsibility also includes providing legal counsel and representation to Officials, Departments and their employees in the event a complaint or legal claim is made against the County.
The Civil Division does not and cannot represent private citizens in legal matters.
