Conservation

Education

Educating the public about conservation and outdoor recreation is a key component of our mission statement. Naturalists conduct programs and provide valuable resources and information to the public.

Polk County Conservation strives to host inclusive, accessible events and meetings that enable all individuals to participate. If you anticipate needing a modification due to a disability or have questions about accessibility, please contact us at 515-323-5300 or pccb_info@polkcountyiowa.gov.

Schedule a Program

Polk County Conservation offers nature programming for preschools, elementary, middle and high schools, youth groups, civic organizations, etc. Naturalists will come to your site to provide programming or meet your group at a Polk County park or trail. Most programs are hands-on and interactive.
