Educating the public about conservation and outdoor recreation is a key component of our mission statement. Naturalists conduct programs and provide valuable resources and information to the public.

Schedule a Program

Polk County Conservation offers nature programming for preschools, elementary, middle and high schools, church groups, scout groups, civic groups, etc. Naturalists will come to your site to provide programming or meet your group at a Polk County park or trail. Most programs are hands-on and interactive.

Our schedule fills up quickly in the fall and spring, so schedule early. Please call at least one week in advance prior to your preferred program time.

Program Fees

  • For-Profit Organizations: $1/person or $25 minimum
  • All Other Programs: FREE
