Polk County will not reopen buildings to the public until July 1 and will continue to provide services online, by mail and by phone. The Recorder's office hours will be 8:00am-4:30pm until further notice.
Walk-In Passport Services are available to the public from 7:30am to 3:45pm, Monday thru Friday. Please bring in a check or money order for Passports fees made out to the U.S. Department of State.
The County Recorders office is open from 7:30am - 5:00pm. Real Estate Documents are accepted 7:30am-4:30pm, Passports accepted 7:30am-3:45pm and Vital Records can be obtained 7:30am-4:30pm.
Beginning Oct. 1, 2020, If you fly commercially you’ll either need a REAL ID license or ID or another acceptable identity document, or you’re going to be subject to additional screening and potential delay. The Polk County Recorder can help you get your Birth Certificate.
