Community Betterment Grant Program

Awards

For 2020 and later Community Betterment Grants, please click here to sign up and access grant award history. Once you sign up, click on About Us at the top and then Public Award History.

The Polk County Board of Supervisors accepts applications for Community Betterment Grants through their online application at https://apps.polkcountyiowa.gov/communitygrants.

Applications will be accepted December 1 through February 28. The Board of Supervisors will review all applications to determine awards from March 3 through June 30.

For those who received funding through the Community Betterment Grant program last year, you will need to complete your grant reporting form through the application at https://apps.polkcountyiowa.gov/communitygrants.

Once you sign in to the application, the grant reporting form is located in the My Grant Reports tab. Please note, you will not be able to apply for another grant until your grant reporting form has been completed.

Community Development Grant Program

If you are interested in applying for a Community Development Grant, please contact Lisa Moody-Tunks, Community Grant Administrator, at 286-2272, lisa.moody-tunks@polkcountyiowa.gov

Applications will be accepted January 1 through January 31 & July 1 through July 31.

Sponsorship Program

Sponsorship grants can be applied for year round with a maximum request of $10,000. These awards are typically used for community events, such as festivals, annual dinners, fundraisers, etc. Please contact sarah.boese@polkcountyiowa.gov with questions. Apply for a sponsorship here
