Litter Removal: Sycamore Trails

County parks and trails are where we go for escape, adventure, and connection. They are home to a wide range of wildlife and are a vital part of fighting climate change. In return, we can protect and care for our public green spaces by making any impact we have a positive one. Give back by contributing your time to removing single-use pollution from the woodlands of Sycamore Trails. Litter removal in our parks and trails helps create a happier and healthier home for wildlife and creates better green spaces for people, too.

This volunteer opportunity offers a fun and meaningful service-learning experience. Volunteers will learn about woodland ecosystems while helping clear litter from the forest and recreational trails at Sycamore Trails, a premier trail network located along the west bank of the Des Moines River maintained 100% through volunteerism.

*In the absence of litter, we will transition to invasive plant species removal.
